The challenge
The company’s day-to-day operations rely on specialist case management software. Although built on a proprietary platform, this software has been configured and modified for the firm’s specific needs. Unfortunately, the company suffered from issues when upgrading its systems to include new hardware. As we already provided the company with IT support, it asked for our help in creating a more flexible and robust platform for its systems.
The solution
We agreed to move the company’s systems to Microsoft Azure, an industry-leading cloud platform. However, the key consideration was making sure that the business’s case management software worked seamlessly on Azure. To do this, we worked with the software vendor to modify the case management system, resulting in an upgraded package that was fully compatible with Microsoft’s cloud platform. After extensive penetration testing, we were satisfied that the company’s new systems were highly secure.
The move to Azure also brought the company greater flexibility. Because each user can access their account via any computer, the new system allows employees to hotdesk and work from wherever they have a computer and a broadband connection.
