This client is a major commercial insurance and reinsurance broker based in the heart of London.

About our client

Due to a series of mergers over the years, the company has become part of a global group with offices across the world, including in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bermuda and Miami. Its insurance specialisms cover everything from the aerospace and aviation industries through to jewellery and fine art.

The challenge

We first began working with one of this client’s predecessor companies in 2006. At the time, its email systems were struggling to cope with the demands of a fast-growing business. Over the years, the company has turned to us for a wide range of solutions, including the creation of a total hosted environment. As the firm has emerged as a major global player in the insurance industry, it has continued to turn to ECOM for a wide range of IT support and services.

The solution

Our initial work for this client saw us move its then-outdated email systems to a more modern solution. However, when the firm subsequently moved to a larger building, it needed a major upgrade to its IT infrastructure. After working with the client to determine its needs, we recommended and installed a total hosted environment. This included securely hosted data storage, email, an application server and a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

As this client’s business has grown, so has our relationship with it. An fast-growing business needs IT solutions that are as future-proof as possible – and ECOM has worked closely with the firm to ensure its IT systems and software meet the rigorous demands placed on them.
