ECOM’s charity of 2021 is St Luke’s Hospice, and it’s been fantastic to see how our support is making a difference.
St Luke’s Hospice is a local charity in Basildon, Essex. They provide compassionate care to people whose illnesses are no longer curable. “We promote dignity in dying and empower people to make the choices they want, from the moment they are diagnosed,” Michelle Mitchell, Associate Director of Fundraising and Communications, told us.
COVID restrictions continued to limit our fundraising activities for the first half of the year. But we have been able to donate a number of items from St Luke’s Amazon Gift list, including; kitchen equipment, books and fans.
And, our Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Nicole Coke, is taking to two wheels and cycling 10km every weekend during September to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice. We’re all behind you Nicole (well not literally)! Click here to visit Nicole’s JustGiving page.
“These Amazon Gift list donations really do help us to continue providing compassionate palliative and end of life care to the communities of Basildon and Thurrock,” added Michelle.
